Reasons to Fish This Winter. Because…

So, maybe you need a little incentive to get on the water this winter. You may have some snow on the ground, or it may be raining, but that’s no excuse not to be on the water. The fish are there. They eat. And what else are you going to do? Ski? Check out the following images and let me know what you think. Enjoy.

Because you never get wet.

Because these guys are swimming in the coastal rivers...right now.

Because when you fish steelhead on the Methow in January you're already dressed to rob a bank.

Because, when you fall into the North Umpqua it doesn't even feel cold.

Because the weather can be crap but that doesn't mean you can't screw with the wildlife.

Because road conditions are always prime.

Because your feet never get cold when throwing a line.

Because the trout keep saying "Feed Me."

Because, during winter, nobody cares if your sideburns suck.

Because even when you're cold and the fish aren't biting there are devices to keep us entertained these days.

Because you aren't going to be this lucky in retirement and you better have some other passion to fill out your days.

Fish this winter because the coffee tastes so much sweeter when you're freezing your tail off.
