Wanted all of you to know that I’ll be headed to Denver shortly to speak at the International Sportsman’s Exhibition. This is a show that I attended when I was young. It was something that my mother, father, sister and I did as a family. We listened to the presentations and wandered through the booths, dreaming of trips to various places for fishing and hunting and general outdoors activities.
The show was in Seattle in those days, but now I head to Denver topresent. This year my presentation is called Locating Large Trout in the Northern Rockies. I have scads of great images showing some fine trout water. And, of course, I have images of the pigs that my friends and I have landed and released through the years.
If you are in the area please come to the show and if you have time, check out my presentation. I know you’ll enjoy the images and you’ll probably laugh at some of the stories. I hope to see some of you there. Don’t be shy. Come up and introduce yourself if
you are there. Would love to meet you. Here’s a link to the schedule. I speak on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.; Friday at 4:30 p.m.; and again at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Also this: on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. I’m taking part in a panel that answers questions regarding making a career in the outdoors via writing, photography, editing and even hosting TV shows. I’ll be joined by Kirk Deeter, editor of Trout magazine and Angling Trade magazine; Conway Bowmanan, host of Fly Fishing The World TV; and Tom Bie, editor of the Drake magazine. If you want to make a few bucks via your passion, or if you want to turn that passion into a full time career, this is the place to be. Again, hope to meet some of you at the Denver ISE. GT
