When you're swinging flies for anadromous fish, there's no guarantee you'll connect. That is often true on eastern Canada's Atlantic salmon rivers. However, when everything comes together and you pull tight, and the fish stays on the line, and the guide deftly scoops with a net, there's no reason you shouldn't raise a fist high, embrace the accomplishment and say, "Everything after this is gravy."
