Good to hear from you. Thanks for participating. I do believe that there are midges and possibly other aquatic insects that hatch in your area... but I'm not sure. A local shop would be your best bet for finding out about the possibilities in your area. Almost all the lakes and rivers in the western U.S. have winter hatches so I imagine your rivers and lakes do, too.
Please share with us what you find from a local shop. Or call a biologist for your area and tap into his knowledge on trout diet at certain times of the year.
