The Winning Bracket

Alright, you probably looked at my winner first, Villanova, and said, "What the hell, Thomas." That doesn't make any sense. But think about this: I picked 'Nova back in 1985 when they brought down Goliath (Pat Ewing and Georgetown) and that isn't the only unlikely pick I've made. An old friend who is now stationed in Germany, recently posted on my Facebook page, "Greg, found a letter that you sent 27 years ago. You said, 'Watch out for NC State.'"

He's referencing my pick of NC State in 1983 as the national champions. The reason I picked NC State? That was the first year ESPN was available in Seattle and somehow NC State seemed to be on every other night. I really liked their players and they got hot at the end of the year, just like Georgetown has this year. Ok, let me know what you guys think. Twenty-four minutes until the games begin!
