Pretty amazing to walk into some of these runs to see dark shapes scattered across the bottom, sometimes five or six side-by-side. In some cases there a hundred or more fish in each run and if you’ve fished steelhead in the Northwest, this would be the dream situation. But we’re fishing Atlantic salmon. I can’t say it’s easy, but if you can see fish you’re going to find out a way to catch them and that’s what we did again today. Lots of different flies. Different angles and presentations. And finally some takes. Beautiful river, great friends, and some incredible early fall weather. More details later. Enjoy the pics.
