Sunken RO Driftboat in The Yellowstone River

Our friends over in Bozeman with RO Driftboats could use your help. They dumped a boat in the Yellowstone this weekend and haven’t found it. If you were/are floating there, chucking hoppers and droppers for big browns, keep your eyes open for this boat. I haven’t been told there’s a reward for information, but knowing the RO crew as well as I do, I’m sure you’ll be adequately compensated in one form or another. Here’s the info from RO’s facebook post:

This weekend a Tan bottom with Evergreen sides Deville was sunk on the Yellowstone River on the town stretch. The boat sank on 8/31 and after an unsuccessful attempt at removing the boat from the river it was left for 2 nights (Sunday, Monday). The boat has since been removed by someone or dislodged further down stream. If anyone has any information on where this boat may be please call 406-641-0011 or 406-570-7556. Any information is appreciated. If someone were to take the boat it’s considered considered theft. There are NO salvage rights on Montana rivers. Anyone floating below Mayers keep your eyes peeled in the deep holes for a 16 ft. light colored object. No guarantee the boat didn’t get dislodged further downstream. Its probably making some world class whitefish habitat right about now…

Keep your eyes open for this RO boat, located, we believe, somewhere below Mayers on the Yellowstone River.
